Nonprofit Financial Excellence  a comprehensive review of the leadership aspects of managing the financial health and sustainability of a nonprofit.  Wil Sherk will take participants through elements to manage and leverage risk to ensure mission resiliency in a dynamically changing market climate.  This workshop is ideal for board chairs, executive directors, the heads of finance committee, chief financial officers or their successors who know how to produce and read financial statements, and are seeking ways to tap them for strategic decision-making.

Facilitator:
Wil Sherk is the founder of the Delaware Grantmakers Association, a member organization bringing together corporations, foundations, and individuals who make substantial charitable contributions in the First State.  He maintains an active consulting practice, advising nonprofit clients on strategic direction.

During his career in the nonprofit sector Wil served as chief financial officer for Winterthur Museum and The Parish of Trinity Church, Wall Street where he oversaw the financial affairs of the church s significant real estate holdings.  He was responsible for the business affairs of The National Cathedral during its financial recovery and completion.

As a volunteer, Wil has been a board member of the Christiana Care Health System where he chairs the External Affairs Committee.  He chaired the audit committee and served for several years on the finance committee of Christiana Care. He is past chair of the board of the Christiana Care Visiting Nurse Association.  He is actively engaged in promoting health equity in Delaware.

DANA Cancellation & Refund Policy

Workshop registrations will not be confirmed until registration is complete and paid in full.

Cancellations must be at least 7 days prior to the scheduled workshop date to receive a full refund.  No shows and cancellations within 7 days of the workshop will not receive a refund of their registration cost. To cancel or reschedule, please submit an email to Louise Koonce at lkoonce@delawarenonprofit.org

Cancellation by DANA

DANA may cancel workshops due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Registrants will be offered the option to reschedule to a future workshop or to receive a full refund.

DANA is not responsible for any expenses incurred by the registrant if a workshop is cancelled.
