Social media is an integral and essential part of any nonprofit’s successful marketing and communications strategy to engage with potential clients, funders, volunteers and the public at large. However, audiences are diverse and occupy different social media platforms.
In this Marketing & Communications Community of Practice, members will discuss the various social media channels they use and how to ensure each one communicates to its intended audience. Members will come away with a clearer understanding of how to effectively use the right voice, tone and personality when it comes to communicating on social media, and some strategies for doing so.
We will be joined by Kim Turner, Vice President of Communications and Chief of Staff for Food Bank of Delaware. Kim has managed communications at one of Delaware’s largest nonprofits for more than 17 years, overseeing all facets of the Food Bank’s communications efforts, including its presence across multiple social media channels.
