Board Chair/CEO Leadership Series

Description

The environment nonprofits operate continues to change. Constant vigilance and strategy shifts require nonprofit boards and leadership to be aligned and prepared. This series facilitates opportunities for the Board Chair (or incoming Chair) and Executive leader to define their conditions for leadership success, board engagement, and mission impact in the communities they serve.

In this four-part program participants identify: 

  • Their role in understanding and defining the organizational Leadership Capacity needed to achieve desired outcomes 
  • What it means to ensure that the Board serves as an asset to the organization in its fiduciary role 
  • The benefits of and what it takes to develop successful partnerships and shared leadership 
  • What the benefit is, and the efforts required to develop and sustain Authentic Board Engagement 
  • Ways to ensure the Board maintains integrity to the nonprofit’s values and outcomes and engages in continual reflection and learning to sustain those values and outcomes across board member rotation 


The fee is $1000 per organization which includes the Board Chair and Executive Director.  Thanks to the Endsley P. Fairman Fund of the Delaware Community Foundation, scholarships are available for DANA members.   The dates for the program include: 

  • September 5th  from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at Easter Seals in New Castle County
  • September 26th and October 17th at 8:30 am to 10:30 am virtually
  • And a final session determined by you

Pricing
