Join us for Nonprofit Advocacy Day on March 29, 2018, at Legislative Hall in Dover. Our collective efforts engage over 200,000 people who volunteer or work in the sector. Our collective voice to reinstate grant funding and increase contracts to support the growing population can be powerful when we are standing together.

This event will serve as the kickoff for celebrating April as Nonprofit Impact Month. We will open the day with a rally on the east side steps to celebrate the impact of our work with policymakers and kick off our advocacy for stronger partnerships between nonprofits and government.

After the rally DANA will provide lunch to registered participants, and an opportunity to learn & discuss effective advocacy strategies. Attendees are encouraged to schedule meetings with legislators to share how their nonprofit is a critical part of the Delaware economy, and how important it is to invest in our state’s nonprofits.

Let’s come together to educate our leaders on the role of nonprofits to our community and our state’s economy.

• Investment in equitable nonprofit partnerships will result in a practical state budget. Nonprofits provide community services at a fraction of the cost it would take government to deliver. At a time when careful spending is crucial to balancing the budget, and the need for services is great, it is essential for the state to strengthen its partnership with nonprofit agencies.
