SOAR (Survivors of Abuse in Recovery, Inc.) is an impactful nonprofit organization headquartered in Wilmington, DE and with offices in Wilmington, Newark, Dover, and Georgetown, Delaware. SOAR's recovery services include individual, family and group psychotherapy services designed to help survivors of all ages recover from the sex crimes that have been committed against them.  To learn more about SOAR, visit our website at https://www.survivorsofabuse.org/.

SOAR is seeking to hire an Associate Director to help lead the organization, both administratively and clinically. This position is part of a succession planning track due to pending retirements of some of SOAR’s leaders.  The Associate Director will start their tenure by shadowing and observing business operations in which the Executive Director and Clinical Director are involved. The incumbent will learn fiscal management, become familiar with SOAR’s board of directors, complete the nonprofit management certificate program at the University of Delaware, and guide the strategic planning process. By the end of the second year of employment, the Associate Director will have researched and applied for at least two federal pass-through grants and will have substantively taken over the management of at least two pass-through projects. The incumbent will be able to assist with the creation of the agency’s annual budget and annual report, help develop and implement program policies, and be able to provide supervision to administrative and clinical staff for most organizational operations.

The successful candidate will possess a graduate degree and be licensed to practice Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or be a licensed Professional Counselor to practice in the state of Delaware. SOAR is also seeking candidates with leadership and clinical experience who are trauma informed. The preferred candidate should have strong project management, technology, and financial management skills.

SOAR offers a competitive salary and benefits package (including medical & dental insurance and paid time off) and an opportunity to see private practice clients in addition to regular job duties (which equates to about thirty hours per week). SOAR also offers a compelling mission and an opportunity to make a huge impact in the lives of survivors of sex trauma and their families. To apply for this excellent career opportunity, send a cover letter and resume to SOAR at jweischedel@hr-enhance.com. EOE
