Position Details

  • Reports To: Transportation Manager
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 30–35 hours per week
    (Driving schedules may include occasional Saturdays and/or Sundays based on agency needs)
  • Pay: $18.50 per hour (Pay Grade 4)
  • Status: Full-Time

This role offers a split-shift schedule, giving you personal time during mid-day hours — perfect for errands, appointments, or simply recharging.

What You’ll Do

As a CDL Driver/Floater, your primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently transport KSI participants while providing supportive assistance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safely operating KSI vehicles at all times
  • Assisting participants entering and exiting vehicles
  • Securing seatbelts, walkers, and wheelchairs
  • Completing transportation logs and required documentation
  • Reporting health, safety, or behavioral concerns
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness
  • Performing weekly vehicle checks and reporting maintenance needs

You’re not just driving — you’re ensuring safety, dignity, and connection.

Physical Requirements

This role is active and hands-on. Drivers must be able to:

  • Assist participants entering/exiting vehicles
  • Provide support during emergencies or accidents
  • Stand, sit, or walk up to 4 hours before breaks
  • Perform CPR/AED, First Aid, and UKERU techniques (training provided)
  • Bend, kneel, twist, and secure safety equipment

 Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid CDL with P endorsement
  • Must meet insurance requirements
  • No more than two moving violations and no major violations at time of hire
  • Ability to pass in-house road test
  • Ability to pass Criminal Background Check, Adult & Child Abuse Registry Check, Sex Offender Registry Check, and Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • Basic computer skills
