Kent-Sussex Industries (KSI) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our Operations team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the health and well-being of the individuals we serve.

Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Starting Pay: $19.97 per hour

Reports directly to the Executive Chef and works in partnership with KSI Operations Management.

Your Role & Impact

As a Dietary Aide, you will assist in preparing and serving meals to participants in our day program while ensuring the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Preparing and serving meals according to specific dietary plans and allergy guidelines
• Reviewing menus to ensure meal accuracy and compliance
• Maintaining proper food storage, rotation, and labeling
• Ensuring sanitation standards are met in all kitchen and cafeteria areas
• Assisting with inventory management and stocking supplies
• Documenting meal records and nutritional information
• Operating kitchen appliances safely and efficiently
• Supporting point-of-sale and register functions
• Assisting in supervising participants working in the cafeteria program

You will help create a clean, welcoming cafeteria environment that reflects quality, safety, and respect.

The Professional We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone who brings:

• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary practices
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately\
• Professionalism and teamwork
• Dedication to maintaining high-quality food service

Preferred Experience:

• Two (2) years of food service experience
• Experience in healthcare or institutional food settings
• Certified dietary or food safety training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 lbs (frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs)
• Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
• Occasional pushing and pulling

This is an active, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License (no more than two moving violations)
• Ability to pass:
