Employment Status: Full‐time, Exempt (Administrative)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (including by not limited to):

  • Oversee DANA’s membership engagement strategy, including outreach, retention and benefit delivery through coordinating programs, events, and campaigns.
  • Coordinate staff outreach to ensure each member has at least two personal touchpoints with a DANA staff member each year.
  • Connect members seeking support with the appropriate DANA team members and tracks their progress from inquiry through service delivery.
  • Manage DANA’s CRM and database systems by maintaining accurate membership records, generating monthly engagement and financial reports, and training and supporting both new and existing staff in effective database use.
  • Administer existing member benefits and explore new benefit partnerships that add value to the membership experience.
  • Plan and facilitate member events that build community, encourage engagement, and foster connections among members, funders, and partners.
  • Represent DANA at networking and community events to engage current members and cultivate relationships with prospective members and partners.
  • Support sponsorship strategies for annual member events.
  • Collaborate with the program team to help plan and execute the annual IMPACT Conference and related member convenings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

·      Strategic and Detail-Oriented Coordinator – Manages multiple projects and shifting timelines with accuracy and efficiency, balancing long-term planning with execution of day-to-day operations like event logistics and campaign delivery.

·      Data-Driven Systems Manager – Maintains clean, consistent data across platforms, and uses technology such as CRMs (e.g., GrowthZone) and project tools (e.g., Monday.com) to improve member outreach, reporting, and decision-making.

·      Clear and Responsive Communicator – Communicates professionally and persuasively across written and verbal channels, adapting style to members, partners, and funders while upholding DANA’s values and voice.

·      Collaborative Team Player – Works across internal departments and with external partners with initiative, flexibility, and accountability; shares knowledge and contributes to shared success.

·      Mission-Driven and Self-Motivated – Demonstrates passion for Delaware’s nonprofit sector and brings a commitment to quality, service, and continuous learning in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

·      Development Support Contributor – Possesses practical experience in the fundraising landscape, assisting with donor communications and fostering strong relationships with funders.

·      Self-Motivated Collaborator – Works independently and as part of a team with high initiative, accountability, and a commitment to mission-driven results.

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and has at least three years of experience in a member-serving or constituent-focused role, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrates a passion for building relationships and serving Delaware’s nonprofit community, with a focus on strengthening engagement and enhancing member experiences.
  • Is goal-driven and motivated, with a track record of proactively addressing challenges and meeting engagement or development milestones.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with positivity and professionalism, adapting to social cues and stakeholder needs.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and sound judgment in managing multiple projects, shifting priorities, and finding creative solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • Is highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, and comfortable learning additional platforms as needed.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Physical and Accessibility Requirements

  • Ability to work in a remote or office setting, with frequent movement to attend meetings, engage with stakeholders, and coordinate groups in various locations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across Delaware to meet with donors, attend events, and represent the organization in community and stakeholder engagements.
  • Capacity for effective communication, including verbal and written interactions.
  • Ability to engage in computer-based work for extended periods.
  • Occasional ability to transport materials up to twenty pounds.

 

DANA staff currently work a hybrid role, working both remotely and in-office, and are expected to be in the DANA office at least two days a week based upon the needs of the organization.

In addition to an annual salary in the range of $50,000 -$55,000 based on experience, DANA offers comprehensive benefits, including:
