About the Delaware Alliance Against Sexual Violence

Founded in 2019, the Delaware Alliance Against Sexual Violence (DAASV) is a statewide nonprofit organization serving as Delaware’s federally recognized state sexual assault coalition. Our mission is to address sexual violence by creating an inclusive community that supports survivors through advocacy, intervention, and awareness.

DAASV leads public education efforts, training and technical assistance, prevention initiatives, and systems advocacy to change the societal conditions and attitudes that contribute to sexual violence.

Position Summary

The Delaware Alliance Against Sexual Violence (DAASV) is seeking a part-time Interim

Executive Director to provide leadership and organizational oversight during the

transition period while the Board of Directors conducts a search for a permanent

Executive Director. This temporary position (not to exceed 6 months) will focus on

ensuring continuity of operations, maintaining fiscal stability, and managing day-to-day

organizational activities. The Interim Executive Director will report directly to the Board

of Directors and provide updates on a bi-monthly basis.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Governance

● Serve as the temporary administrative head of DAASV, ensuring smooth

continuation of programs and services.

● Provide timely and accurate information to the Board to support informed

decision-making.


Financial and Grant Management

● Oversee all fiscal operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and

monitoring of grant expenditures.

● Ensure compliance with grant requirements and nonprofit financial standards.

● Prepare and present monthly financial reports and projections to the Board.

● Maintain relationships with grantors and ensure timely submission of reports and

renewals.


Operational Oversight

● Supervise staff and oversee day-to-day operations to maintain organizational

effectiveness.

● Support a positive and trauma-informed work environment for staff and

volunteers.

● Manage contracts, agreements, and administrative documentation.


External Relations

● Maintain key partnerships with member organizations, funders, and community

partners.

● Represent DAASV in relevant meetings and coalitions as appropriate during the

interim period.


Qualifications

● Strong knowledge of nonprofit operations, grants administration, and financial

management.

● Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (or equivalent professional

experience).

● Minimum of five years’ experience in nonprofit leadership or grant-funded

program management.

● Familiarity with trauma-informed leadership principles and social change

advocacy.

● Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

● Experience reporting to or working closely with a nonprofit board of directors.


Position Details

● Status: Part-Time, Temporary (up to 6 months)

● Reports To: Board of Directors

● Schedule: Flexible, approximately 20–25 hours per week (hybrid work

environment)

● Compensation: $35-$45 hourly

● Location: Wilmington, Delaware (hybrid/remote options available, but must be

willing to be in person for necessary events and meetings as needed)
