Event Details

Ensuring strong and sustained leadership in a board of directors is a critical component of effective nonprofit governance. In this session, we will review issues of succession in a nonprofit board of directors and outline the policies and procedures that are needed to ensure effective, sustained board leadership. 

As a result of this workshop, you will: 

  • Understand the principles and issues of succession in a board of directors 
  • Know the policies and procedures that need to be in place to ensure effective board succession 
  • Be able to apply principles of effective succession planning in your own board
