Funders, especially foundations, want to understand not only how your program benefits its service recipients, but also the public value of these benefits. By effectively telling your story, you can demonstrate how funders receive a positive return on their investment in your program. In this workshop, you will gain insights on: Screen reader support enabled.

About Janet Tillman:
Janet has 40+ years of experience with nonprofit organizations spanning the fields of mental health, substance abuse, disabilities, health care, domestic violence and quality improvement. 

Janet received her MSW from The Ohio State University School of Social Work. She is an experienced manager, social worker, and instructor/facilitator with skills in:
• Organizational development: Leadership, governance, and values-based strategic planning
• Program design, logic models, and outcomes management
• Appreciative Inquiry facilitation to promote positive, strengths-based organizational change
• Conveying complex ideas in ways that are practical, interactive, and fun 

In 2007, after seven years with the Community Impact Division of the United Way of Delaware, Janet started a consulting business focused on building nonprofit organizations’ capacity to align their services with their vision/mission and community needs, deliver quality services, and communicate program effectiveness to stakeholders. It is through her work with nonprofits that Janet strives to achieve her mission of “community change through organizational excellence.”
