Event Details

This workshop will highlight some of the recently enacted State and Federal laws affecting Delaware employers, including those relating to:

  • Unemployment benefits
  • Discrimination
  • Non-medical marijuana
  • Retirement benefits
  • Paid family medical leave

 

We will also discuss the impact of the NLRB’s ruling in Stericycle on drafting and updating employment handbooks and policies.

Presented by Lauren DeLuca.

Lauren represents individuals as well as businesses, nonprofit corporations, and government entities in employment related and other matters before administrative agencies (such as the Delaware Department of Labor – Office of Anti-Discrimination and the Division of Unemployment Insurance, the Delaware Human Relations Commission, the Delaware Division of Professional Regulations, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board), federal court, and the Delaware state courts. She also advises clients regarding personnel policies and handbooks and helps clients navigate personnel issues, including hiring and separation of employees. Lauren has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for the years 2017 to present, a Delaware Today Top Lawyer in Employment Law for Employees and Employers, and a Best Lawyers in America – One to Watch.
