Event Details

In today’s uncertain climate, it has become more difficult to rely on existing plans and projections and nonprofits must be proactive in recognizing these issues and how it will impact their organization and those they serve. In this session, DANA will help participants explore their nonprofit’s resiliency in the face of this changing landscape. Referencing DANA’s AAA Scenario Planning Toolkit, DANA facilitators will work with nonprofit teams to assess their organizations’ situations, determine the financial implications they are facing, and model future cash flow based on actions to mitigate risk. Learning Objectives: Nonprofit teams will align on the most likely scenarios that will impact their organization and the people they serve, they will understand their current cash position and the impact of potential funding loss and will identify strategies to mitigate the risk of those impacts. It is recommended that two or more individuals from each participating nonprofit attend. They will need to bring with them their latest financials (YTD through June), a laptop with access to Microsoft Excel. Advance work would include completion of the Scenario Planning Awareness Questionnaire. Co- Facilitators, Sheila Bravo and Earl Sissell along with other DANA consultants will be on hand to assist nonprofit teams with their scenario planning.
