Practical Leadership 2.0 Building Engaged Teams

Practical Leadership 2.0: Building Engaged Teams is a six-hour virtual training spread over three two-hour sessions, March 6, 13, & 20, 2024, from 10 am – 12 pm Central. Eastern Time 11 am-1pm

As members of DANA, you are eligible for member pricing at MNA’s events for yourself and your whole organization. Simply select the member rate when registering and be sure to provide your state when asked during registration, to verify. No code needed!


The only change to registration this year is that we are offering only a whole-organization registration option, rather than both an individual and a whole-org option. Pricing is set above the old individual rate and below the old whole-org rate, and everyone at the organization (staff, volunteer, and board) is welcome attend or watch the course.

Dates: March 6, 13, & 20, 2025 Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Central (daily) 

Format: Virtual via Zoom Cost: $135 DANA members / $175 nonmembers 

This advanced course focuses on developing high-functioning teams in complex work environments. The six-hour training, delivered across three sessions, provides concrete tools for improving team collaboration and leadership. 

Key Topics: Engaged team characteristics Co-creating effective team agreements Cultivating team trust Navigating team conflicts Supervisor's role in team engagement 

Learning Outcomes: Participants will learn to nurture team dynamics, establish shared accountability, implement current team engagement research, and develop conflict resolution skills. 

Additional Information for Course

Instructor Lisa Negstad is a distinguished consultant specializing in leadership and organizational development. With an MBA from Yale and a B.A. in Psychology from Luther College, she brings extensive experience from senior leadership positions in international and U.S.-based nonprofits. Lisa is certified as a human systems dynamics professional and emphasizes inclusive, participatory processes in her training approach.
