October DEI Series Event - The Power of Diverse Perspectives – 4 Proven Strategies for Making Diversity Work

Description: Diversity is more than racial, gender, age, or ethnic make up of a group. It’s more a matter of divergence in thought. It has the potential to broaden perspectives and enhance creative decision making capacity. However, it can also lead to in-group and out-group drama, miscommunication, stereotyping, conflict, and reduced performance. This workshop will explore strategies to help you make diversity work in your organization.

In this workshop you will:

  • Understand what it takes to be an effective diversity leader.
  • Recognize how differing cultural blueprints affect communication, relationships, and ultimately productivity in the workplace.
  • Equip yourself with simple tools and strategies to make diversity work in the workplace.

Instructor -  Dr. Ada Gonzalez is an expert conversation strategist. As an executive coach, facilitator, and consultant she works with leaders and organizations to facilitate transformation through dialogue. She shows business leaders how to build trust, understanding, and engagement.

Her Ph.D. degree is in Interdisciplinary Studies in Organizational Behavior, with an emphasis on leadership, dialogue, and change. She has vast multicultural experience, which gives her not only theoretical knowledge, but practical experience with diversity. Born in Cuba, she has lived, worked, and spoken in many different Latin-American and European Countries, as well as in different parts of the USA
