In today's multicultural workforce it is more important then ever that organizations make Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) a priority. DE&I efforts create meaningful, systemic change toward more equitable environments.
Learning Objectives:
- Create awareness about microaggressions and how often they occur
- Exploring how microaggressions can affect people
- Learn ways to reduce microaggressions
This session is led by Nijideka O. Wiggins, MS, MA, LMHC. Ms. Wiggins, is a clinical therapist, a certified Compassion Fatigue Specialist and founder of N.O.W. & Associates, a multifarious consortium that provide counseling, coaching, and consulting services to facilitate growth across the dimensions of our individual, and collective ” Humanitarian IQ’s”.
Njideka has over 25 years of corporate management experience in the financial industry, including 15 years with MBNA America, Wilmington DE, (now Bank of America) where she was the first, African American, First Vice President. She has a Master’s of Science in Human Services Administration/Community Psychology, from Springfield College SHS (2002) and a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Counseling, from Eastern University (2005).She is especially honored to be a recipient of the 2021 Delaware Division of The Arts, Emerging Professional Artist Fellowship Award for Literature- Playwriting.
